Ah, summertime in Paris is a magical affair. After a long winter, it’s almost time to break out the sunglasses and head over to one of the city’s best hot spots. Every year, pop-up terrace bars take center stage in city’s nightlife and hangout scenes. This summer, we all have a lot to look forward to with these fabulous and diverse pop-up bars and venues.
It’s back! The brainchild of Benjamin Roussel in cooperation with the Compagnie des Bateaux Mouches, this exciting rooftop cocktail bar can be found floating on the Seine in the 8th arrondissement. Monsieur Mouche pays tribute to famous Parisian ship owner and philanthropist Alphonse Gaston Mouche, who explored the globe in search of the world’s rarest alcohol. The spirit of adventure and debauchery is alive and well. Monsieur Mouche promises you refreshing cocktails, a welcoming spirit and incredible views of the Seine and Eiffel Tower.
Port de la Conférence, Pont de l’Alma, 75008 Paris
Ground Control is back and more impressive than ever before. A major hit when it first came to Paris in 2016 under the name Grand Train, they changed guard in 2017. Changing names and locations, the venue moved into the terrace space of Halle Charolais (a hidden SNCF Immobilier venue) in the 12th arrondissement. The multidisciplinary 1500m² space rocks lively DJ sets, vegetable gardens, gardening workshops, a farmer’s market, a solarium and half a dozen pop up food and drink outlets. This year, they are spreading out into the interior of the building, boasting 4500m² of covered spaces. In the Halle à Manger you can enjoy an eclectic array of food options, and share the experience with friends on long wooden tables. There is also a wine bar, Le Décanteur, and a speakeasy-style cocktail bar.

MOB Hotel is more than a beautiful hotel in Saint-Ouen. The terrace of the hotel houses a hodgepodge of summer delights. You can also enjoy a terrific cocktail at their 16-foot bar, which is open from 4 p.m. to 12 a.m. during the summer. They also offer a large selection of local beer to cool you off on a hot summer day. You may want to work on your tan while lounging about on a comfortable chair in the solarium. As the sun sets, lanterns light up the terrace offering a calm and homey atmosphere. Movie lovers should take advantage of their large outdoor movie screen. Every Saturday night at 9 p.m. they host an outdoor film night, free of charge.

This multiple level floating nightclub is set on the left bank of the Seine, at the base of Pont Alexandre III. Dance the night away inside Flow Club, known for its upbeat pop atmosphere. The club gets packed at night, so if you want to escape the crowds, stop in during the day and relax on their rooftop terrace. This upper deck gives you a unique 360° view of the city, with particularly brilliant views of the Grand Palais and Eiffel Tower. You can also bask in the sun on the banks of their very own pop up beach where you can relax in comfortable deck chairs. They also offer concert nights where you can stop in for live music and great drinks.

Le Hasard Ludique
An incredibly cool pop up on an abandoned railway, Le Hasard Ludiquere turns in continued partnership with the City of Paris and the SNCF. Located in the rail station of Avenue *Saint-Ouen*in the 18th arrondissement, the vast outdoor space offers a collaborative community where are all welcome. This derelict local turned urban oasis on the Little Belt is a popular hang for street artists. Graffiti purveyors will love the art and everyone can appreciate the free access to barbecue grills. It’s the perfect spot for artistic expression, games, workshops, exhibitions and live performances. You can also boogie down at their nightclub from 12 a.m. to 6 a.m.
